Issues with Hi-DPI Monitors and Browser Zoom Settings

The new Training and Assessment Interface was designed to support a wider variety of display sizes and styles, but you may experience some issues using the site in some cases on certain high-resolution displays (also known as "Hi-DPI"). These issues may also occur if you set your browser's zoom setting to other than 100%. While we believe the system should be usable in these situations, if you encounter any problems we encourage you to try adjusting these settings.

Possible Resolutions:

  1. Try setting your browser's zoom setting to 100% zoom. You can access this option from your browser menu, or by pressing Ctrl and +/- (the plus and minus keys) to adjust. Once you refresh the web page or navigate to a different screen in the training/assessment, the resolution should adjust accordingly.

  2. Try adjusting the zoom settings of your computer's operating system. On Windows 8/8.1/10, access the "Display Properties" by right-clicking on your desktop, and look for an option called "Change the size of text, apps, and other items." On Windows 7, from the Display section of the control panel, look for an option called "Custom Sizing Options". Choosing a value of 100% will yield the best results.

  3. If you are using a laptop, you might consider plugging in an external monitor to see if this improves the situation.

We are striving to continually improve the system to work on all manners of devices, and apologize for any inconveniences these issues may cause for the time-being.
