Through a unique process of design and development Plexus Corporation customizes its current training systems for specific customer needs and designs new training for any management system need. Plexus will deliver sessions at specific company sites or develop a strategy to deploy a program regionally, nationally or internationally to meet the customer's needs.

Customizing Plexus Training Systems™

Each established Plexus training system could be tailored to meet the specific needs of any customer. Much of our current training systems materials for ISO/TS 16949, AS9100, ISO 9000, ISO 14000, QS-9000, TE Supplement and the Core Tools/Reference Manuals have been customized at both the system and module levels.

As a customized system, established modules can be combined, deleted or modified to meet the needs of a customer. Modules can be further modified to address specific customer needs like specific and unique processes, product applications, cultural applications, etc. Modules can also be modified for new uses. For example, Plexus modified a module designed to develop internal quality system auditors so that its focus was to train engineers to audit standard lean manufacturing practices.

In addition to customizing the training, Plexus can develop the trainer/coach training to prepare internal personnel to deliver the customized program -creating a complete system of training and the qualified trainer/coaches to deliver it.

Plexus worked with Emerson’s FMEA specialists to design training that incorporated Emerson nomenclature, examples and case studies. Plexus Master Trainers conducted the initial training at regional sessions throughout the U.S. Emerson’s trainer/coach certification process was also developed so the company could deploy the new training internally and continue reaping the benefits after we were gone.

The Woodbridge Group along with Plexus developed a training system, integrate it with the software used by Woodbridge, develop trainer/coach training and certifed Woodbridge’s trainers. As owners of the training system, Woodbridge prints the materials and delivers the training to employees around the world.

Boeing and Plexus have created an online employee training system to reduce time, cost. Called "Quality eTraining", the system will be used to substantially reduce the time and cost of training Boeing employees in quality standards set by the International Organization for Standardization, or ISO; Advanced Quality System, or AQS; and the Boeing Quality Management System, or BQMS. The jointly developed quality training modules will be made available to suppliers and to non-aerospace businesses as well.

Other companies have also benefited with Plexus’s ability to customize training needs to meet their on-going process improvements. Plexus focuses on building capacity within organizations to manage international standards and supplier quality requirements. Plexus Training Systems™ include Web-based, CD-ROM and classroom delivery as well as customized certification programs for auditors and trainers within the automotive, aerospace, healthcare, education and general manufacturing industries.

Design of Management System Training

Through a process of design and development in which Plexus personnel gather information, identify key contributors, secure technical experts, create materials and review materials, Plexus designs new modules and training systems. This design also includes the development of a plan for deployment.
